Crafting sets is a complicated and highly specialised task that requires an interior expert trained in every aspect of set designing. It requires a meticulous approach where perfection is key to the success of the art. Set design is needed in film, television and theatre. It involves various elements like furniture, props, aesthetic appearance, scenery and the overall look of the stage.

At INIFD, our interior design courses in Mumbai also comprise a set designing module that consists of in-depth research on art and history. It involves learning to create visual script analysis, thumbnail sketches, detailed sketches or renderings, solutions and scenic models. In a nutshell, the set design is putting together a physical space wherein the performance occurs.

INIFD’s IIID programs cover design basics, communication skills, workshops, extensive learning of materials, colours and mediums used in interior design.
